The weekend’s here! You’re done with studying and you need to get out and have some fun, but where should you go? Whether you have to go down the road or take a road trip, here are some cities that you’ll hopefully find yourself in.
Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is, without a doubt, one of the most entertaining cities in the country. Between the casinos and nightclubs, there’s an endless amount of things to do in Sin City. Sure, you could check out the many clubs, but while you’re there, you can check out shows like the Blue Man Group, Cirque du Soleil, Criss Angel’s “Believe”, multiple musicals, magic shows, and more.
San Diego
San Diego has a multitude of options for nightlife activities. There’s multiple bars in San Diego, sure, but San Diego is also known for its music scene. There are many dedicated music venues, such as the House of Blues, Casbah, and The Shout House. There’s so many options, in fact, that you can’t possibly see them all in one night. You’ll have to stay multiple nights, so you’ll need to research the best deal on
San Diego hotels.
Miami
Nestled in the Southern corner of Florida, Miami has a bustling nightlife. In addition to the many bars, such as Club Space, The Catalina, and others, Miami is a melting pot of music styles. You can enjoy bossa nova music at the Biltmore Bar, funk and soul music at the Lapidus Lounge, or dance at Mango’s on Ocean Dive until 5 a.m. If you happen to find yourself in Miami in March, you can check out the electronic music festival in the Ultra Music Festival and the Winter Music Conference.
New York City
Known as the city that never sleeps, New York City earns its nickname by having a ton of things to do. Among the dance clubs, there’s over fifty museums that you can visit, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and American Museum of Natural History. There are hundreds of plays each year at over 70 different venues, like the Walter Kerr Theatre and the Miller Theatre. There are a ton of world-renowned buildings in New York City, like the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Trump World Tower, Bloomberg Tower, and 75 Rockefeller Plaza.
Los Angeles
About an hour Northwest of San Diego, Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world. There’s a lot of venues available for watching live music, such as the El Rey Theatre, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the House of Blues, Hotel Cafe, Amoeba Music, and more. For fans of the film industry, there are a lot of places to check out in Los Angeles, like Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Universal Studios Hollywood, and numerous filming locations around the city.
